September Qi Gong Retreat

September 21 – 23, 2026

Loon Lake Lodge Β· Maple Ridge, BC

⚠️ Action needed by September 1: Please send us your emergency contact and dietary info. Jump to section β†’

Welcome,

Thank you for signing up for the September retreat β€” we're so glad to have you joining us.

The retreat is fully confirmed and booked. We have a wonderful group of attendees already secured from earlier sign-ups, and your spot is locked in alongside them.

Sifu Adam's goal for the retreat is 10–15 attendees β€” the sweet spot that lets each person receive the focus, care, and attention they deserve throughout the experience. Below is everything you'll need to know before arriving.

Location

Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre

14500 Silver Valley Road, Maple Ridge, BC V4R 2R3

πŸ” Gate Keypad Code

5670#

Write this down before you leave. There's no cell reception inside the forest. Don't let any vehicles follow you through the gate β€” wait for it to fully close before proceeding.

⚠️ Do not follow Google Maps once inside the gate.

Stay on the main road and follow posted Loon Lake signs only. Speed limit inside the forest is 30 km/h.

Proceed 7 km on the main gravel road following signs for Loon Lake (about 15 mins). At the camp, pass the playing field on your right. At the fork, stay left and head up the hill all the way to the top. You'll see the Pan Abode building just before the Bentley Dining Hall on your left. Park next to the Pan Abode.

πŸš— Transportation

Getting There

Once past the gate there's no public transit up the mountain. We strongly recommend renting a car and carpooling with fellow attendees.

Local taxis, Uber, and Lyft are available. Evo Car Share is at YVR airport too β€” please note that Evo does not have designated parking in Maple Ridge near the retreat facility, so consider reserving it for your full stay or finding a nearby Evo zone.

You can come and go during the retreat β€” just remember your gate code, as it's only active during our stay.

Note: If you're arriving a day early or staying a day after, please book your own accommodation for those extra day/nights. The facility is private and only available on retreat dates.

🧘 Sessions

What to Expect

Sessions blend physical practice, meditation, and instructional and inspirational talks from Sifu Adam. He follows a natural flow, so sessions may start earlier or end later depending on the teaching.

Breaks are built in (Sifu Adam adjusts timing as needed), but you're always welcome to take personal breaks whenever you need β€” just sneak out ninja-style πŸ₯· so you don't disturb anyone. This is your practice.

Sifu Adam and the team will provide fruits and light snacks throughout to keep your energy up.

🍽️ Meals

Bentley Dining Hall

BREAKFAST

8:00 AM

LUNCH

12:00 PM

DINNER

5:00 PM

Beverages are available in the dining hall throughout our stay. Meals are served buffet‑style with coffee, tea, juices, water, and dessert. There may be other groups on site, so we might share the dining hall at times β€” but our group will always have its own dedicated table.

The Pan Abode building β€” where our sessions take place and where we'll be staying β€” is for our exclusive use.

πŸ‘Ÿ Shoes off when entering the dining hall.

πŸ’§ Water

Bring a Bottle

The Pan Abode doesn't have its own water dispenser. Please bring a reusable insulated bottle or thermos to fill up at the dining hall. We recommend one that handles both hot and cold drinks so you can carry water, tea, or coffee back to sessions without multiple trips.
