Taoist Qi Gong: The Way of No Way

Anxiety, illness, and chronic stress often arise from lifestyle—
from the hunger for more, for endless striving.
Taoism calls this the Hungry Ghost mind:
always chasing, never resting.

Many approach healing the same way—
gathering tricks, systems, and stages.
But that mindset is the very pattern that caused the suffering.

In early Taoism—Zhou dynasty and the Nei Yeh—
there was no technique.
No method.
No stages.
Only non-doing.
Only return.

Post-Han Taoism introduced many tools.
But as Professor Chang reminds us:

“The goal is emptiness, Tao, non-doing.
Most cannot begin there.
So do only what you need—no more.
Doing is a tool. It is not the goal.”

This practice is not about learning more—

I've been depressed from birth and it only got worse with every stage of life I entered, eventually spilling over into anxiety and panic attacks.
